Got a sticky problem with your studies? The library can help in several ways:
Ask-a-Librarian - Visit http://library.sullivan.edu/askalib.htm and follow the prompts to send your question to us electronically. A librarian will respond within 48 hours -- usually a lot faster -- with advice on how to proceed.
Research Guides - For many subjects, the library staff has created online guides that direct you to the library's most appropriate and effective resources for research in those specific topics. It's like having a map that points to the very books, journals, CDs, videos, and web sites you need. Save time and energy, and get great results. Have a look: http://library.sullivan.edu/Research/researchguides.htm.
Remember, we also bring you the Library Alert (see below) and offer an interlibrary loan (ILL) delivery service that gives you access to titles at libraries throughout the country. Ask a library staff member for more information. There's also the Sullivan University Tutoring Center, which offers study assistance to any Sullivan student, free of charge. For more information on tutoring, call 800-MYTUTOR.

How many things can I check out?
People ask us often if there's a limit on the number of books, DVDs, or other titles that each patron can check out from the library. Short answer: yes. Longer answer: Yes . . . but it's incredibly reasonable . . . and, in fact, it's higher than most people need! You can check out up to ten books at a time. You can check out up to five DVDs. Bring those back and we'll give you more. :-)
Spring Break hours of operation
During Spring Break, June 2-16, the library will be open during these hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
(Closed weekends)
We'll reopen with our typical hours Monday, June 17.

Ready for new books?
The library gets new books every week during the quarter, and -- psst! -- we're giving sneak previews. Watch your Sullivan email for messages titled "Library Alert." We broadcast those directly to campus addresses to point you to a comprehensive list of new titles, arranged by subject. If you see a book (or CD or DVD) you want to check out, just write or call. We'll hold it for you. That way, you beat the crowd almost without leaving your chair. :-)
An important change in our Friday hours
Part of our customer-service focus is to be here when you need us. Many patrons have asked us to be open longer on Fridays -- and now we are! During the academic quarter, the library is now open until 7 p.m. on Fridays, with a full-time reference librarian available at the desk. Come on in!
